The company has gathered its pharmaceutical activities under Turgut Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since 2006 and concentrated its studies mainly on pharmaceutical R&D. With the R&D infrastructure established during this period, it gathered all the necessary equipment for small molecule formulation and carried out important formulation R&D studies that resulted in patents. In 2015, Turgut Pharmaceuticals established the Turgut Biotechnology Development Center equipped with high technology and state-of-the-art devices for the development of biosimilars, and the center was awarded the R&D Center Certificate by the Ministry of Industry in 2017. The R&D center has moved to the Turgut Gebze Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility as of 2020, and continues to work there. Turgut R&D center has the established infrastructure for cell line development, upstream and downstream process development, physicochemical protein analysis and functional protein analysis for high quality biosimilars.
